Control Windows with your voice
Instead of clicking, you say what you want: “Hey Talkie, open Spotify”, “Turn it down”, “Set a timer for ten minutes”. Talkie listens and does it.
How voice control works
Wake Talkie with “Hey Talkie” or Ctrl+Alt+J and add your request right away. Talkie records until you pause briefly, picks the right tool and answers out loud.
No fixed commands to memorise: Talkie understands normal sentences, including follow-ups like “And tomorrow?”.
What you can control by voice
Open and close apps and websites, switch windows, type, take screenshots, set the volume and dark mode. Find, tidy up and convert files – for example PNG to JPG or merging PDFs. Music via Spotify, lights via Philips Hue and Home Assistant.
Safe with risky actions
Before Talkie does anything irreversible, like deleting files or shutting down your PC, it asks first. A “yes” is enough – by voice or keyboard.
Frequently asked questions
Isn’t the built-in Windows voice access enough?
Windows voice access operates menus and buttons word by word. Talkie understands whole sentences, answers questions and handles several steps – for example weather, appointments and tasks in one answer.
Is Talkie always listening?
Talkie waits locally for the wake word “Hey Talkie” and only records after that. Speech recognition runs on your PC; no audio goes to the internet.
