Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to the purchase and use of the Talkie software. Last updated: October 2026. This English version is a translation for your convenience. In case of discrepancies, the German version prevails.
1. Provider and scope
The developer and licensor is Marek Kislak, Zollweidenstrasse 25, 4142 Münchenstein, Switzerland (“we”). The offer is aimed at private individuals worldwide.
Talkie is sold through Lemon Squeezy, LLC (USA) as the reseller (“Merchant of Record”). Ordering, payment, invoicing, taxes and refunds are additionally governed by its terms of sale, which you see at checkout. Use of the software (licence), the warranty and support are governed by these terms.
2. Product
Talkie is software for Windows, delivered as a download. Features and system requirements are described on this website. Talkie is tested on Windows 11 with an NVIDIA graphics card; performance may be lower on other systems. Check your PC with the free PC check before buying.
You set the main language in the settings (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese); Talkie listens and answers in it. It can also pronounce individual sentences in Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
Language model, speech recognition and voice run on your PC. For some features Talkie uses freely accessible third-party online services (e.g. weather, web search, news, train connections). We have no influence over these services; they may change, be limited or be discontinued. If a service is no longer available, the feature concerned may be restricted; all other features remain usable.
Talkie’s voice is generated locally by an AI (Qwen3-TTS). The voices Mia, Ava, Leo and Noah were designed artificially with Qwen3-TTS. It is not the voice of a real person associated with Talkie.
3. Purchase, price and payment
The purchase is concluded when you complete the order at checkout and payment is confirmed. Talkie comes in three plans – Basic, Plus and Max – each as a monthly subscription or a one-time purchase: Basic for CHF 4.90 per month or CHF 29 one-time, Plus for CHF 9.90 per month or CHF 49 one-time, Max for CHF 19.90 per month or CHF 99 one-time. The plans differ in features, number of computers, updates and support (sections 5 and 6). The prices shown include VAT. Depending on your country, a different tax may apply at checkout; the final price is shown to you before you pay. Until 10 November 2026, introductory prices apply to the one-time purchase: Basic CHF 26.10, Plus CHF 39.20, Max CHF 79.20. The discount code “LAUNCH” (5%) is valid for the first 100 orders; one code can be redeemed per order.
Monthly subscription: the subscription renews automatically every month and is charged in advance. You can cancel it at any time – without signing in via “Cancel contracts here” at the bottom of every page (talkie.ch/cancel), in your account (talkie.ch/account), via the link in the confirmation email or by emailing us; it then ends at the end of the month already paid, with no pro-rata refund. We announce price changes at least 30 days in advance by email; you can cancel before then. If you change plans, the price is prorated.
4. Delivery
After payment you receive a download link and your personal licence key by email. If you have an account with the same email address, you can sign in to Talkie instead. If the email does not arrive within 24 hours, please contact us.
5. Right of use (licence)
You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use Talkie personally: with Basic on 1 of your own computers, with Plus on up to 3 and with Max on up to 5 of your own computers (Windows or Mac); with Max, people in your household may use Talkie on them too. On first start you sign in or enter your licence key; Talkie registers the computer online. If you change computers, let us know and we will free up a slot. Not permitted: passing on, selling or renting the software, the download link, the account or the licence key, commercial use by third parties, and removing copyright and licence notices.
One-time purchase: the right of use is perpetual for the version you bought and all updates you are entitled to under section 6. Monthly subscription: the right of use applies while the subscription runs; after that Talkie only starts again with a valid subscription or purchase. Talkie checks this online from time to time and keeps working offline for up to 30 days.
Talkie contains or installs third-party software, models and data that are subject to their own licences (see Licences). Only their licence terms apply to them.
6. Updates and support
Monthly subscription (all plans): you receive all updates while the subscription runs.
One-time Basic: you receive all updates released within 12 months of your purchase date. After that your version keeps working unchanged and without time limit. One-time Plus and Max: you receive all updates for as long as we keep developing Talkie. If we stop development, your last version keeps working unchanged and without time limit.
Max: you may receive new features early as test versions. Test versions may contain bugs.
Updates are bug fixes and improvements to the software; there is no entitlement to specific new features. Talkie tells you when an update is available; you download it via the link in your purchase email. For this, Talkie occasionally fetches the file talkie.ch/updates/latest.json; no personal data is sent.
Support is provided by email to support.talkie@gmail.com. Requests about Plus are answered with priority, requests about Max within 24 hours (working days). Otherwise we reply as quickly as possible but do not guarantee a specific response time. Personal setup (e.g. via remote access) is not part of the offer.
7. 3-day money-back guarantee, right of withdrawal
If you are not happy with Talkie, we refund the full purchase price if you write to us within 3 days of purchase – no reason needed. An email to support.talkie@gmail.com with your order number is enough. With the refund your licence key is deactivated and Talkie can no longer be used. This guarantee is voluntary and applies in addition to your statutory rights; it does not limit them. Your warranty rights (section 8) remain unaffected.
Consumers in the EU and the UK have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. For digital content it expires once the download begins, if you expressly agreed at checkout that delivery starts immediately and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.
8. Warranty
We make sure that Talkie performs the described functions on systems that meet the system requirements. Please report bugs by email; where possible we fix them with an update. If that is not possible within a reasonable time, we refund the purchase price.
Talkie’s answers are generated by an AI language model and may be wrong or incomplete. Check important information (e.g. on health, law, finance, timetables) yourself. Talkie does not replace professional advice.
9. Liability
Talkie can perform actions on your PC (e.g. open apps, move or delete files). Before actions that change something, Talkie asks; it only acts after your confirmation. You are responsible for what you confirm and should back up important data regularly.
We are liable for damage only in cases of intent or gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence, data loss, lost profits and consequential damage is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory statutory liability provisions remain reserved.
10. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of your country of residence. For disputes with consumers, the statutory places of jurisdiction apply (in Switzerland Art. 32 Swiss Civil Procedure Code).
